Mozilla officially released Firefox version 11

Mozilla has allowed users to download Firefox version 11 through the server, this is the latest official version of the web browser open source.
The update added some new tools, expanded compatibility, stability and speed improvements and better security.
 
When Firefox launched on January 10, the browser has to have a new tool for web developers. Mozilla continues to integrate the development tools and complete them in Firefox 11. One of the most important tool recently added feature is the Style Editor and site structure to form 3-D helps the programmer more convenient to develop and modify web interface.
 
FireFox supports 11 SPDY protocol, a protocol similar to HTTP but its goal is to reduce latency when loading web pages and advanced security capabilities. Google first introduced in 2009 and the protocol is also integrated into its Chrome browser. But default, Firefox will disable this feature, if desired the user can turn up by enabling the property "network.http.spdy.enabled" in about: config.
 
Mozilla also enhanced synchronization in Firefox 11 while allowing browsers to automatically sync add-on. 11 On the other hand Firefox enables users to import data from rival Chrome browser.
 
In addition, Mozilla is developing a version of the browser interface for users of Windows Metro 8.

HP layoffs webOS group

HP to cut 275 staff webOS group, a step in the strategy to bring webOS operating system open source community.
 
 
HP said last year it had stopped producing devices running the Palm webOS development for phones and tablets, and then the company decided to move into a webOS software under license Apache 2.0 License. HP bought Palm in 2010.
 
HP said, with a small staff will help webOS soon turned into open source software, as well as maintaining the software as HP's commitment. The staff was cut from the group HP webOS will be arranged to consider other jobs in the firm.
 
January / 2012, HP said it will provide full source code for webOS open source community on May 9/2012 consist of core applications such as Mail, Calendar for the Linux kernel.
 
Earlier this month, HP launched the governance model for webOS. HP says that the new webOS Open a number of projects including: Envyo, JavaScript framework, WebKit / Isis, standard Linux kernel, and webOS System Manager.
 
Each project will have a project management committee. According to the developers blog webOS is the first time members of the reason this project will come from HP, then will transfer from the community who participate in development projects.
