Intel began to optimize for Google Android smartphone

Intel and Google have announced an agreement that the two companies will collaborate to optimize operations for the smartphone version as well as mobile devices running Android in the future Intel chips.
Intel will collaborate to develop up to Google Android smartphone based on your processor
Intel's CEO, Mr. Paul Otellini, demonstrated a prototype with a smartphone running Android coming to be developed based on the company's new chip Medfield at the forum was held at IDF San Francisco. But Otellini did not mention the Android version is used to run on this prototype.
Intel x86 architecture to make the choice to use for the smartphone, and switch to Android would be a great opportunity for chip manufacturers have a foothold in the smartphone market.
Otellini said that this is a significant move to Intel can point to the smartphone market.
Currently, the smartphone market without the presence of Intel, but Otellini believes that a smartphone based on its new chip will be launched in the first quarter of 2012 to come here. Medfield platform consists of the Atom processor low voltage. Medfield Smartphone with new chip is expected to appear in the third quarter of this year, but it was delayed several times. Intel also is organizing a technical session at IDF 2011 to introduce Medfield run on the tablet.
According to Mr. Andy Rubin, senior vice president of Google's mobile sector, said that Intel and Google will work together to optimize all Android devices based on Intel's new chip in the future, including the field specific areas such as memory management and graphics.
Some versions of Android, such as Android 2.2 (Froyo) was moved to Intel. The forwards all future versions of Android is Google made, Intel and Google are expanding their relationship stronger than ever.
The Intel is facing the difficult task it is to beat the expansion of the ARM, the processor appears in most smartphones today. Intel chips power is said to be lower than the ARM processors, but Intel hopes that their side can overcome this drawback to promote the production of a faster chip and more energy efficient than current.
In his speech, Otellini also share more information about the company's upcoming chip codenamed Haswell expected to be used in laptops in 2013. Haswell able to reduce 30% of power consumption in standby mode compared to the current notebook Core i5. The company said it has created an energy efficient design for a new laptop to use throughout the day.

Haswell Chip design aims is the promotion ultrabook Intel capital as a possible new series of notebook is slim and lightweight with features like tablets. Intel hopes to rely on ultrabook Haswell that can last a standby time of up to date.

Haswell processor is the successor of Ivy Bridge processor first appeared in 2012 for ultrabook. Ivy Bridge capable of energy-efficient than current chip Intel Sandy Bridge.
Otellini also confirmed that Haswell will be the ultrabook and a variety of devices selected as the main platform at launch.
