ARM and the semiconductor chip maker TSMC (Taiwan) has announced generation processor multi-core ARM Cortex-A15 first based on 20 nm process technology that TSMC advanced development.
To create the 20 nm process technology, the TSMC has developed and carried out using standard Open Innovation Platform (OIP), criteria given to provide an innovative community design transistors.
ARM believes that the process 20 nm technology chip that TSMC will help bring your processor provides double the performance compared to the previous generation, and other physical IP technology firm will also help optimized to provide performance and power for the processor.
ARM Cortex-A15 based on 20 nm process technology will pave the way for next-generation SoC targeting the chip market for smartphones, tablet PCs, mobile computing devices and high-end digital .
There is no mention whether or not the ARM Cortex-A15 20 nm can support Windows 8, though Microsoft says that its new operating system will run on ARM processors.
