At Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona, Google has officially confirmed the information will be released on the next version of Android in late 2012. However, the Google declined to give specific information.
Hiroshi Lockheimer, technical vice president in charge of Google's mobile phone, said the company has been preparing plans to release the next version of Android will be released in 2012, but did not give a specific release date.
Hiroshi Lockheimer said: "After version 4 will come Android version 5 and we still can not give a specific notice period by a lot of work behind the technique is still in progress." He also said that Google will give a small update before the official launch.
